Trainees are invited to a special pre-conference symposium at the Toronto Medical Discoveries Tower, part of the University Health Network. A number of exciting sessions covering a wide breadth of topics will be presented, including aspects of clinical management, cell anatomy and pathology, genetics, and molecular biology of ovarian cancer.
A new interactive pathology session will allow trainees to bring their own slides to be analyzed alongside an ovarian cancer pathologist, with discussion from the entire group. Several ovarian cancer survivors will also speak to the group to give their perspective and help attendees appreciate the human side of this disease. Tours of the UHN Microarray Centre will also be offered to all in attendance. Breakfast and lunches will be provided.
